Another Book For The Stack…

November 21, 2006

Transcending CSSFalling ever behind in my reading, I’ve run across another book that I’ll have to put in the “to-be read” stack. Actually, this one will probably float up in the stack by virtue of the fact that it’s written by Andy Clarke. I’ve been reading And All That Malarkey for several years now and always found it to be a great read and very informative. I expect no less of the hardbound Andy. Check it out at Transcending CSS…

Krugle Opens Up…

June 20, 2006

After a number of rounds of betas, which I was fortunate enough to be a part of, Krugle has officially opened it's doors. If you're not using it now for your code searches, you should. FireFox plug-in for Krugle searching is on it's way – honest!

A CoLT Is Born…

June 2, 2006

Ok, so it's not just born but it's new to me and I needed a snazzy subject so lay off. 🙂 So here's an extremely handy little Firefox plugin called CoLT (Copy Link Text). So many times I attemp to click and highlight a link because I need the text of it (not the URL) and end up clicking on the stupid link.

Feed Update…

April 6, 2006

I've signed up for FeedBurner to test it out. If you're reading this thru an aggregator, please update your feed link to point here instead. Or you can just use the FeedBurner badge in the right hand sidebar.

Looking Over Your Shoulder…

April 5, 2006

I guess I didn't realize that a web page could possibly read from my clipboard. Copy some non-sensitive text to your clipboard and take a look at this site. If you scroll down to the end, you should see the text from your clipboard as well as instructions on how to prevent it or at least have it warn you.

NOTE: Only IE seems to "suffer" from this as far as I can tell.

Fastest Growing???

March 22, 2006

Wow, I just saw that I’m on the “Fastest Growing WordPress.com Blogs” list at #6. Generally I get between 30-40 hits daily, mostly friends and family as well as a few disappointed folks who think that they’re stumbling upon the personal blog of the “other” David O’Hara :), but yesterday I got 70+. And I know what did it – BlogMad.

If you haven’t noticed the little badge to the right, I’ve signed up to participate in the beta. It went “live” yesterday and hence the spike in traffic. I’ve got to say that I’ve enjoyed surfing around and seeing the sites of the other participants and I’ve even grabbed a few for future reading. If you’re interested in getting in on the BlogMad craze, drop me a note and I’ll get you an invite.

UPDATE: Well, I made it to #5 today (March 7th).

UPDATE: Woohoo!! I hit #1. Many thank to my fellow BlogMad folks. I know it was you. 🙂
#1 With Love

Vertua Studios (finally)…

February 15, 2006

I’ve kept up with Ethan Marcotte thru his blog, sidesh0w.com, for quite some time now. He’s amazingly talented and I’m glad that he finally finished his “work” site, Vertua Studios. Clean and simple while being effective…*oogles stretchy header*
